or do you get your groove back?

And if so, how do YOU get your groove back?

and i got my groove back
i was preoccupied when i was 40,
so i had no time for a

I'm in the mood for love, and i just noticed that I may have had the pleasure of interacting with just about all of them at one point or another, and so i must make a list of what I like about them,

by their sign.

Try it it's fun, let's see, we got-

Aries- they're easy to talk to, wants to have fun, fun is always the goal, as a friend will always be on your side in battle, as a lover, well lusty is the first thing that comes to mind, and that's always good.

Taurus- very charming people, and sensual, i was surprised at how intuitive, knows how to please and not just physically, a lot of common practical sense and is obligated to offer their services, loyal as friends, if they say they'll be there, they will be there

Gemini- smart as hell which is so damn sexy, also seems to be either intuitive or just so smart they know you like that, a lot of fun, they hold their own,

Cancer- understanding, they spoil you and pamper you and hug you right when you need it, very wise, knows how to talk you through anything, you feel very comfortable with them, their sweetness makes you irresistible to having an affinity for them

Leo- they are fun, and full of life, it's all about good times, and they're hot, and very intelligent, you have long interesting conversations with them and you look up and it's been 3 hours, they make you feel good by being in their presence, they're insatiable in the boudoi

Virgo- they will take care of you, they're sharp, and neat, they also appear to responsible individuals with goals and stuff

Libra- they are classy, fun, stylish, as friends they love to spend time with you, there's this wonderful light airy fairness in their interactions. I can feel the Venus, it's all about beauty in every sense.

Scorpio- they are soo sweet, their affection is the best, they are sexy, responsible, you respect them, they're rocks, they get it, they get you, did I say they were sweet? I love their humor too,

Sagittarius- laugh out loud funny, exciting to be around, they're sexy too, i love their honesty, and their insight

Capricorn- another rock, very dependable and responsible, these fuckers are HOT, and funny funny funny

Aquarius- their humor is their wit, they get it too, very peace loving it seems

Pisces- may be the sweetest people to walk the earth, always listens to my story no matter what, they get you, they love you they don't care to judge, they understand

So that's it, that's how I feel, anybody care to add on, please do, if you disagree I'm really not doing this for debate,

I'm just in the mood for love

I wonder which one will be next..

Why is my Scorpio guy stinging me so bad? :(

Ok this is a very looong story, so try to bear with me :) There's so much to this story and a lot of drama, but I'm trying to shorten it as much as I can, so this is just the basics lol... But I'm trying to figure out exactly why my Scorpio guy friend is stinging me now. We have only known each other from myspace so it's always been a long distance 'relationship' for us. I live in WA, USA and he lives in Italy. But starting out we had a very intense connection and long distance relationship. And he would always tell me how he loved me and I'm his perfect girl, etc., and that I reminded him a lot of his Pisces ex-gf who he loved (I'm Pisces too btw). And he told me that he has dreamed about me for a long time (for a year before i even realized he liked me so much), and he couldn't believe we were actually starting a relationship, because he has wanted me for so long. And I was 18 at the time (I'm 19 now) but he was 33, and he wanted me to come to Italy really bad to visit him. He knew I couldn't go though because I still live with my parents and they would think I was crazy if I went to Italy to meet a foreign guy they don't know lol =/ But as time went on and we got even closer, then he started telling me that it's too hard for him to keep waiting for me because he needs a physical relationship too and he feels like he's going crazy when we can't physically be together. And he started distancing himself from me more and hiding his feelings more because it was getting hard for him, and hard for me too.

And then he told me last November that for now I can date other guys and he can date other girls until I can visit him. And I understood that because I know that he can't just wait for me forever. But here's where it gets more confusing for me... I started flirting with another guy online (who lives in the USA lol, I'll call him J.), and the only reason I started flirting with J. was because me and my Italian guy (I'll call him M.) were kind of distancing from each other (because we were trying to not get too emotionally attached). And I told M. about the new guy I was talking to online because I wanted to be honest with him. But M. seemed jealous about him. And he would tell me things like J. is no good for me. He never gave me any reasons, he just said he was no good for me. Actually he did say that I should date younger guys closer to my age, and I guess he didn't like the fact that J. was 33 like him (and also a Scorpio). I'm guessing that he was probably thinking that if I started any relationships with guys closer to my age that it wouldn't be as serious. But anyway, J. had to leave for business, and he was traveling all over the USA and so I wasn't able to talk to him anymore because he was really busy. Btw, I told J. about M. too, because I was being honest with him too, and I wanted him to know that for now I'm not sure what would happen with us because I still have feelings for M.

But when J. left for business then I started talking to M. more again, and one time we were chatting on an Italian forum and there was just me, M, and another lady there.. but we were chatting about Astrology signs, and I was saying that I love Scorpio and Cancer men (since I'm a Pisces). And then I could tell that M. was getting kind of irritated because of how he was trying to ignore me on the forum. And then he said, "You just love boys, you are always cheating on me with guys on myspace!" I think he just said it out of anger and he didn't really think about it first. But I was shocked and embarrassed because he said that in front of the other lady on the forum. So I just told him "This is not the place to talk about this.", and then I sent him a PM and asked him why he said that?! And I reminded him how he told me that it's ok for me to date other guys for now. And I told him that he has been acting mad at me lately too. Then he PM'd me back and said that he was not mad at me because he ignores people when he's mad at them. Then I replied and told him that he did seem to be ignoring me more lately though. Oh and I forgot to say that right before all that happened on the forum, he told me about a dream he had about me, and he said that in his dream I visited Italy without even telling him and he found me there dancing with a bunch of guys like a slut! =/ And he knows full well that I am not a slut at all! I have had only one sexual relationship with my ex-bf! And I don't 'frivolously' flirt with guys either, I always take love and even flirting seriously.

And anyway, in the meantime we were still getting closer, or at least I was feeling closer to him and I realized how much I actually loved him then. And I would write him very erotic stories about me and him for him, because he always tells me how he loves my sexual imagination :) But not only erotic, but very emotional and loving too. Because I was trying to tell him how strong my feelings were getting for him. And then, (it's a long story) but I found out that he was also starting a relationship with an 18 yr old girl from Italy too (who's a Leo btw)! It was long distance for them though too... they have never met in person. She was having a lot of the same problems I was having I guess, that her parents wouldn't want her to go meet a strange guy they didn't know either. And I was heartbroken at first because he was trying to hide it from me! And hide it from her too. But once the shock wore off, I understood and wasn't mad about it because we had the agreement that we could date other people for now. I was just sad and hurt that he never told me and he was trying to hide it from me. And I also did not understand at all why he would say I was cheating on him when he was also flirting with another girl! And yet I was honest with it, but he was not!

And to add more drama to the story, there was another guy who was someone I knew from work that had asked me out a few times before, but I always told him no because I still had strong feelings for M. But once I found out that M. was flirting with another girl and working towards a relationship with her, and since J. was out on business all the time so I never talked with him anymore because he was always busy, then I accepted a date with the guy from work. And I let M. know too because I was always honest with him. But then later M. was acting more stand-offish and kind of mad at me and acting jealous about the guy I started dating. And M. told me that now he's even more unsure of long distance relationships with girls because I didn't waste any time meeting other guys! :( And he told me that he could see that I was always ready but I was just waiting for his authorization! (His English isn't real good lol). And I reminded him again how he told me I could date other boys back in November, and this was March! And I also told him how I turned this guy down a few times before accepting a date with him because I still had such strong feelings for M. And I told him that I probably never would have even started dating this guy if it wasn't for all the drama that just happened when I found out how M. is trying to start a relationship with another girl.

But to make a long story shorter... he's been more and more distant with me, and acting mad at me more :( and the last thing he told me when I was trying to ask him why he seemed so jealous of me dating other guys when he was also starting a relationship with another girl, and after we had an agreement that it's ok to date other people for now, then he told me that I can date who I want to but he can't wait for me thinking about it, because he's too sensitive :( And that was about 2 weeks ago, and I've tried to talk to him almost every day since then, but he has been completely ignoring me :( And I told him how bad it's hurting me that he won't talk to me anymore, and why is he trying to punish me? Because I love him, and even if I can only love him as a friend, that's ok. But he hasn't said one word to me since then :( And I'm so heartbroken.. I've been crying a lot lately because I just don't understand why he's acting like this! We started our relationship about a year ago, and I love him so much now. I just don't want to throw our friendship down the drain! I want to stay his friend even if we can't physically be together. But he doesn't seem to even want to be my friend anymore! :( So why is he trying to sting me so bad now? What do you Scorpios think?

right now, Im feeling a bit pissed off with all these people who insist that staying in the love and light is the only place to be. Be positive, dont focus on the negative. Bla bla bla. But I like studying the darkside of life and humanity, my own darkness. It intrigues me, I love following its trail back to its root. Why is it just seen as a negative and not the flip side of positive? Reality? Part of life? I love burning down to the ashes of self and reinventing, reinvigorating, evolving with some new perspective, insight, wisdom. As a scorpio woman who has spent quite a large amount of life in the darker recesses.. do the shiny shiny people not just shit you to tears? Or am I just jealous of them for their constant friggin happiness? I for one think humans need a good dose of hardship to make them better people, give them perspective. I have experienced a lot of grief, which inturn makes me appreciate life as (one example) or is this just rationalising my own behaviour? Probably.

I have noticed that when scorps reach fame & fortune, many choose not to put on the usual suit but instead goes for...norwegian sweaters. I find this very refreshing, that is an excellent choice when fortune smiles. My theory is that money is not strong enough to corrupt scorpios, as boss-sign they, of course, strive to get it but is not really that impressed with that stuff once there. Perhaps power & green paper is just the ultimate defense, a safe place where no other person can impose his rules on old scorpy?

When you do something „wrong“, something you feel its wrong, and something you cant fix. And that thing becomes a burden thats hunting you and pushing you down. What is your way of dealing with it ? Do you believe / find comfort in redemption . Like, do some good deeds, so you could feel good about yourself and live with yourself in peace.

I have been a very very very naughty girl. I was extremely flirting and fooling around with a Scorpio guy on Vent and online gaming. I'm a Gemini sun so flirting is my game but he wanted my phone number. >.> I said no. There was an awkward silence and then he left online. Why do flirt with temptation? Why do I play hard to get? >.> Help!

My first scorp-conjunction happened when I and a friend played too loud & woke a snoozing scorp who took off like a rocket & chased us under a table in the kitchen downstairs! I think he roared things like "-WHAT THE XXXX DON´T YOU XXXXXXX WAKE ME WITH YOUR XXXXXX NOISE!!" I was really scared under that table, but later in life I kind of cherish this memory: in some way it was meant to happen, destiny designed that moment.

I´ve pondered a bit about the relation between Virgos (mama scorps) & scorpio women, I have felt some...tension there. Could it be, just speculating of course, that the mama scorps do a little TOO GOOD OF A JOB doing what their doing, & scorpy women kind of feel like some intruder have trespassed into "their" territory? But there can only be one mama scorp, right..?

I don't really study Astrology much. So when my friends once said to me, "Le you're too nice to be a Scorpio. and Scorpios are supposed to be freaks. You're not even that freaky," I didn't know what they were implying. So I guess I need to be more of an asshole and a freak to fit in? Please enlighten me.

I was in a group of people and just down from the house where we were staying was a jungle. We decided to explore the jungle for reasons I didn't know about, but others did. In the jungle was a camera crew filming a piece about a creature that was just born... a half Scorpion/ half human female. The father was human, and the mother was half human/half scorpion. She was very nurturing and beautiful, but I was scared. We tried to stay out of sight, but my friend, Amanda got into her view. She started chasing us, and was talking about killing Amanda... She cornered us back at the house, but all of our friends got her before she got us. I think I was naked throughout most of the dream...weird.

The funny thing is, my friend Brooke, is a Scorpio, and she really doesn't like my friend Amanda! lol

I put these mythological and other references, so that we can study the symbol, or, the basic feeling and energy to; the symbol to which we ascribe astrological influences. Without a proper study and introspection on the symbol and myth of the thinkers that promoted astrology, we cannot append the real life, day to day occurances that mirror this way of looking at our stars. The base upon which we build, in trying to use astrology to deepen our relationship to the cosmo's.

Hydra

Lernaean Hydra
The 16th-century German illustrator has been influenced by the Beast of Revelation in his depiction of the Hydra.

In Greek mythology, the Lernaean Hydra (Greek: (Ell-Lernaia Ydra.ogg [Λερναία Ὕδρα] (help·info)) was an ancient nameless serpent-like chthonic water beast (as its name evinces) that possessed 9 heads— the poets mention more heads than the vase-painters could paint— and poisonous breath so virulent even her tracks were deadly.[1] The Hydra of Lerna was killed by Heracles as one of his Twelve Labours. Its lair was the lake of Lerna in the Argolid, though archaeology has borne out the myth that the sacred site was older even than the Mycenaean city of Argos, for Lerna was the site of the myth of the Danaids. Beneath the waters was an entrance to the Underworld, and the Hydra was its guardian.[2]

The Hydra was the offspring of Typhon and Echidna (Theogony, 313), noisome offspring of the earth goddess, Gaia. It was said to be the sibling of the Nemean Lion, the Stymphalian birds, the Chimaera, and Cerberus.

The Second Labour of Heracles

Upon reaching the swamp near Lake Lerna, where the Hydra dwelt, Heracles covered his mouth and nose with a cloth to protect himself from the poisonous fumes. He fired flaming arrows into its lair, the spring of Amymone, a deep cave that it only came out of to terrorise neighboring villages [3]. He then confronted it, wielding a harvesting sickle (according to some early vase-paintings) or a sword. Ruck and Staples (p. 170) have pointed out that the chthonic creature's reaction was botanical: upon cutting off each of its heads he found that two grew back, an expression of the hopelessness of such a struggle for any but the hero, Heracles. The weakness of the Hydra was that only one of its heads was immortal.

The details of the struggle are explicit in Apollodorus (2.5.2): realising that he could not defeat the Hydra in this way, Heracles called on his nephew Iolaus for help. His nephew then came upon the idea (possibly inspired by Athena) of using a burning firebrand to scorch the neck stumps after each decapitation. Heracles cut off each head and Iolaus cauterized the open stumps. Its one immortal head Heracles placed under a great rock on the sacred way between Lerna and Elaius (Kerenyi 1959:144), and dipped his arrows in the Hydra's poisonous blood, and so his second task was complete. The alternative to this is that after cutting off one head he dipped his sword in it and used its venom to burn each head so it couldn't grow back.

Heracles later used an arrow dipped in the Hydra's poisonous blood to kill the centaur Nessus; and Nessus's tainted blood was applied to the Tunic of Nessus, by which the centaur had his posthumous revenge. Both Strabo and Pausanias report that the stench of the river Anigrus in Elis, making all the fish of the river inedible, was reputed to be due to the Hydra's poison, washed from the arrows Heracles used on the centaur. [4]
Hans Sebald Beham: Hercules slaying the Hydra, 1545 print.

When Eurystheus, the agent of ancient Hera who was assigning to Heracles The Twelve Labours, found out that it was Heracles' nephew Iolaus who had handed him the firebrand, he declared that the labour had not been completed alone and as a result did not count towards the ten labours set for him. The mythic element is an equivocating attempt to resolve the submerged conflict between an ancient ten Labours and a more recent twelve.

Mythographers relate that the Lernaean Hydra and the crab were put into the sky after Heracles slew them. In an alternative version, Hera's crab was at the site to bite his feet and bother him, hoping to cause his death. Hera set it in the Zodiac to follow the Lion (Eratosthenes, Catasterismi). When the sun is in the sign of Cancer, the crab, the constellation Hydra has its head nearby.

1. ^ "This monster was so poisonous that she killed men with her breath, and if anyone passed by when she was sleeping, he breathed her tracks and died in the greatest torment." (Hyginus, 30).

Crater (pronounced /ˈkreɪtər/, genitive Crateris /krəˈtɪərɨs/) is a constellation. Its name is Latin for cup, and in Greek mythology it is identified with the cup of the god Apollo. It was one of the 48 constellations listed by the 1st century astronomer Ptolemy, and remains one of the 88 modern constellations. It is faint, with no star brighter than fourth magnitude.

Notable features:

γ Crateris is a close double star, with a PA of 96° and a separation of 52". The fainter companion is magnitude 9.6. This system is located 84 light years from the Sun.

R Crateris is a semi-regular variable of type SRb and a spectral classification of M7. It has a magnitude of 9.8-11.2 and an optical period of 160 days.

SZ Crateris is a magnitude 8.1 variable star. It is a nearby star system located about 44 light years from the Sun. It is also identified as Gliese 425, and in the past it was known as Abt's Star.

31 Crateris (now regarded as part of Corvus) is a 5.2 magnitude star which was once mistaken for a moon of Mercury.

Mythology

Crater is identified with a story from Greek mythology in which a crow or raven serves Apollo, and is sent to fetch water, but it rests lazily on the journey, and after finally obtaining the water in a cup, takes back a water snake as well, as an excuse. According to the myth, Apollo saw through the fraud, and angrily cast the crow, cup, and snake, into the sky. The constellations of Corvus the crow and Hydra the water-snake are also identified with this myth.

Corvus (The Crow)

Ok, here is the constellation and the mythology. Does anyone apply this symbol to their chart interpretation? And if so, can you share with us, some of your insight or imput on this image and energy????

Corvus (pronounced /ˈkɔrvəs/, genitive Corvi /ˈkɔrvaɪ/) is a small constellation in the southern sky. Its name is Latin for raven or crow. It includes only 11 stars visible to the naked eye (brighter than magnitude 5.5). It was one of the 48 constellations listed by Ptolemy, who only counted 7 stars, and it remains one of the 88 modern constellations.

Corvus contains no Messier objects.

The Ringtail peculiar galaxy consists of the possibly colliding NGC 4038 and NGC 4039, and appears to have a heart shape as seen from Earth.

The center of Corvus is home to a Planetary nebula NGC 4361. The nebula itself resembles a small elliptical galaxy, but the magnitude 13 center star gives away its true nature.

Mythology

See the story at constellations Crater and Hydra.

Once the crow had beautiful silver or snowy white feathers and could speak to humans, but that all changed. As Apollo’s sacred bird, the crow (or Raven) was told to watch over his pregnant love, Coronis. Coronis slowly lost interest in Apollo and was attracted to a mere mortal. The crow, who was secretly spying on her, reported her unfaithfulness to Apollo. In a rage of anger he unfairly turned the loyal raven’s feathers black and took away it’s ability to speak. Coronis was killed by Apollo’s twin sister Artemis. The child of Coronis and Apollo was rescued and raised. He then became known as Asclepius, the god of medicine and healing.

Another well known story is that when Apollo sent his raven to get some water in the god’s cup (Crater), the raven waited for some figs to ripen and had a feast on them. He came back very late with a water snake (Hydra) and the water in the cup (Crater) he was sent for. The foolish raven blamed his tardiness on the water snake. Apollo was not tricked. He put the raven in the sky along with the water snake and the cup. ‘Till this day, the snake keeps water from the eternally thirsty raven.

Native American view of Crow~

*Many Colored Crow*
Once long ago,in the time of the ancestors, people had refused to care for the Dead, and the Earth was filled with ghosts who committed every kind of mischief. Finally,in desperation, the ghosts had appeared to first man, explaining their plight. First man heard their plaintive cries and sent his twin brother, Many Colored Crow,to help them.In thise days,Crow possesed feathers so bright they made the painted bunting look dull and lusterless. Many Colored Crow walked across the land, telling the people about the Dead and their troubles. He explained that if the people would honor and care for their ancestors, the Spirits would reciprocate. They would help the living by bringing messages from the Spirit World. The ghosts would cease harming people and quit playing tricks on them.Everything would be better. The people heard the words of Many Colored Crow and began to care for the Dead. But so many ghosts walked the land that Many Colored Crow had to do something more.He had been passing through the forest when he found a high hill.Around the base of the hill he gathered piles of dried brush. Then he climbed the base of the hill and built a fire in a clay pot.He prayed for four days.Singing to the four sacred directions and the ghosts heard. They came from all over the world to see what Many Colored Crow was doing. On the day of the Winter Soltice, all the ghosts had finaly arrived. At last~one of the ghosts~a warrior who had died in battle and whose body had been cut up~asked Many Colored Crow "What are you doing up here on top of this mountain,Singing and Dancing? We have all come to see you!" Many Colored Crow raised his hands to the Morning Sun,saying "I have brought you here to Sing you to the land of the Dead. But you cannot go as you are now.You are full of anger and evil. You must be cleansed of this before I Sing you to the Land of The Dead. And saying that, Many Colored Crow picked up the pot with the fire burning inside it and whirled it around his head, scattering the burning embers into the dry brush. The brush instantly caught fire and the whole mountain was engulfed in flames. The ghosts cried out and tried to escape but the fire completely surrounded them.In the end,all that remained were ashes. These Many Colored Crow collected and carried with him to the Land of the Dead, where the souls were finally freed. All the wickedness had been burned away.In the process however,Many Colored Crow's brilliant feather colors had vanished, all of them burned a deep black~~which is why,to this day,Crow has Black feathers

Many scorpios would like to be like Virgo; that is their secret dream. Imagine being able to pick up ANY problem in your mind, view it from all sides, pick it to pieces like a simple toy and have a solution in the blink of an eye! Ad to that a stable, grown-up character that does not see tantrums as normal behaviour! WHO would not like such "tools" at their disposal? A pond is perhaps a starting point, but sooner or later most people prefer a nice sofa, some tea and a solid book-case.

Don't want kids or spouse? A Scorpio thing?

Hey,

I'm wondering - I'm 31, female and single - and I LIKE it. As I watch everyone I know get married and have kids, I realize I don't even want to date right now. I feel like I have so much more of my life to live before I decide to spend time with someone else. I feel like there's a lot of adventure to have first. So, is this a typical Scorpio thing, the need for individuality and independence and NOT desiring the usual balls and chains? Not that I'm saying spouses and families are bad, just obviously not for me right now. But is it just me who feels this way?

Thanks!

is it even kept away (for the most part)from lovers?

Scorpio and Mercury

The planet Mercury rules over intellectual energy, intelligence, memory, perception/reason, etc. so your Mercury sign determines how you think, your thought processes, etc. Mercury rules the zodiac signs of Gemini and Virgo.

If Mercury is *prominent* in your horoscope, then its positive aspects are that you are facile in speech, a good storyteller, clever, and shrewd, and you probably have a good memory, good debate qualities, and high-strung movements.
(If a planet is *prominent* in your horoscope that means that that planet is the ruling planet of your Sun sign, or perhaps it's the ruling planet of your Rising sign or Moon sign, OR maybe it's the ruler of your decanate, etc. In other words, a planet that is *prominent* in your horoscope just means that it plays a substantial role in your horoscope chart/birth chart.)

If Mercury is *afflicted* as well as being prominent, then Mercury has a negative influence. Mercury's negative influences include: lies, deceit, petty thievery, fraud, etc.
(An *afflicted* planet means that the planet in question is not in harmony with the other planets and thus has a negative influence.)
The House Mercury is in shows the particular area in which our mental talents are put to practical use. This is the area in which we realise our need to make contact and increase our learning.

It is connected with contacts to siblings, friends and people at school. Mercury represents our thoughts and the constant activity that goes on in our heads. It is connected to the nervous system and physical co-ordination.

The Sign Mercury lies in shows how we communicate and the psychological areas in which our mental talents lie. Mercury is the fastest of all planets and cleaves to the Sun, either being in the same Sign as the Sun or one of the Signs on either side of the Sun.

Aspects to Mercury show mental talents and communication styles in a very specific way. They indicate our individual interests and abilities

Sun in Scorpio-Mercury in Libra: Libra takes the edge off Scorpio's intensity and extremism, making these people more social and pleasant to be with.

In Libra, Mercury produces a mind that is well balanced, rational, and very judicial. You hate arguments and prefer to discuss issues or to reason together. You are polished in your expression, and this helps make you appear very diplomatic always. You may be very deeply concerned with human relations and psychology. You have a curiosity about people and the way they think. Getting along well with others is very central to your interests. You are easy to talk to because you listen with interest and you're honest in your response.

Although you are friendly and broad-minded, you can be stern when your principles are involved. Justice and balance are strong in your nature. You don't handle conflict all that well, and when people talk to you in a crude or uncouth manner, you back away and reject any contact, if you can.

You are really not readily adaptable to rapidly changing situations, because you have such a tendency to study issues so carefully before committing yourself. You must concentrate ever to attain a sense of expediency or decisiveness. Yet you can be counted on to relate fully both sides of any issue. Making a decision between two good options can be very difficult for you sometimes.

Sun in Scorpio-Mercury in Scorpio: Scorpio is typical here; the ego and thoughts are always focused and intense, and the desire nature rules.

In Scorpio, Mercury produces a mind that is secretive, investigative, and probing. Your method of expression is positive, and maybe a little intolerant, skeptical, and suspicious. A deep and penetrating thinker, you can dig in to the core of any issue with little wasted time or effort. You intuitive mind is capable of profound insights.

You are very good at keeping secrets. Plans and schemes are often carried on in secret. You are also very good at digging out secrets and getting to the bottom of complex issues. Thus, with this placement you may have the skills to become a detective, an investigator, or a researcher. There is much scientific ability with Mercury in Scorpio because of the innate curiosity. You are so perceptive that you "know" the unseen weaknesses and strengths of people with whom you come in contact. You have a way of seeking hidden truths and perhaps the hidden secrets of life itself.

You can be very incisive with your tongue or with your pen. Often using sharp language, you refuse to mince words or show much concern for the feelings of others. You either say exactly what you are thinking or you remain completely silent.
You can be very stubborn in your mental determination and tenacity. Your adaptability is limited in an intellectual sense because your highly emotional approach often has you prejudiced and focused on a set objective.

Sun in Scorpio-Mercury in Sagittarius: These Scorpios have a broader view of life and are generally more open or outspoken.

In Sagittarius, Mercury produces a mind that is independent, versatile, and roving. Your method of expression is impulsive, very direct, and sometimes argumentative. Yet you are social and very communicative with anyone who will listen. You may lack tolerance for the views of others when they depart from your own. You are something of an evangelist for your own opinions, and you love to get up on your "soapbox."

The natural tendency is for you to say exactly what is on your mind with little concern for fact or reality. You are impatient and don't always wait long enough to form a correct judgment. Yet people listen to you because you are interesting. Your wonderful imagination may make you a natural storyteller. You're good at improving on the truth.

Your senses are keen, but it can be hard for you to concentrate on any single subject for long periods of time. You can miss details because your focus is on the broad view.

Everything seems to interest you. You're particularly attracted to subjects that have significance beyond the everyday. You may enjoy philosophy, psychology, foreign cultures, or religion. Seeking deep understand of these broad subjects can occupy much of your thinking. You may become a lifelong student, because you never tire of learning and sharing knowledge. Forgetful and impractical, you mind may be like that of the preoccupied absent-minded professor.

What is your concept of it?

Are you punctual? Are you always late?
Are you able to gauge how long it will take to do things/get places?
What do you do to keep yourself in check?

I ask because I struggle with time....all the time. ;} I hate the clock, almost as much as I hate the money. There are occasionally those moments when everything clicks into place and I'm on time for everything, there's no traffic, or waiting in line, there's a clear path. But sometimes, there's obstacle after obstacle, which includes my own stubbornness and/or unwillingness to play by the rules.

And the other, more extended concept of time, of life's accomplishments, how do you plan yourself/your life out? I'm just curious how other people look at things like this.

Thanks!

no turning back.

i get tired of feeling sorry for myself and trying to see others in some way - which just isn't who they are - and i get sick of being dicked around.

i generally think that i give people a lot of chances and am pretty forgiving and understanding, but i have a temper.

this time its my sisters. and im fuckin pissed.

as far as im concerned, i don't ever want to see them again.

i haven't had any relationship with them for about 12 years now anyhow...

Intuition/Charisma/Scorpio

There was a time in my life when I was superbly connected to my emotions. I was very sexual, very into writing (journal, poetry, stories, etc), had very vivid dreams that I wrote about and analyzed and was very psychic in some almost scary ways. That was in my early 20s when I was also very confused and going through a lot (as most in that age group are).

Now I'm 31 and find that I couldn't care less about dating, sex, etc. I don't write anymore (despite a degree in writing), although I occasionally still have vivid if mostly unmemorable dreams. That colorful, charismatic, powerful, sexual, sensual, open side of me seems gone.

I find however, my intuition is still as strong as ever. It guided me into a job that pays less than some of the higher flying jobs, but I still have one now whereas all those people in the high flying careers do not. It guided me into a taking a second job about a month before my hours at my main job were cut back, so I am now able to make sure I can take care of myself and it kept me from pushing for a bigger (and hence, more expensive) apartment. These ALL went against what my mom pushed me to do (bigger apartment, job in finance etc).

I know that my intuition is guiding me somewhere and it's somewhere sound and smart. I have no fear of that. What's bizarre and confusing to me though is that when I was younger, I feel like I was so innately aware of my own powers, so innately connected to myself and to others (to the point that in some ways I was almost too "open" and I attracted a lot of people who were psychically exhausting) and just so emotional and spiritual and so Scorpionic. I could walk into a room and even though I'm cute but not gorgeous, I could watch people's eyes all turn towards me. I could smile and literally watch people sort of become like mesmerized captured fish and just give me things and open doors for me. I used to get men and women of all ages flirting with me and trying to be with me. Now, none of that anymore.

Part of me wonders if I've lost my intuition. Am I crazy to think that?

Part of me also worries that I've lost my charisma forever. What do you all think? And do you think that personal charisma is linked to one's sexuality and sensuality?

Will that side of me come back, perhaps in a more mature and less well, needy, form? Has my intuition and general Scorpio-ishness gone forever or is it just in hiding while I focus on my career and taking care of me, rather than attracting people to me?

Going from Scorpio to Libra?! (damn Ophiuchus)

How is the appearance of Ophiuchus supposed to interact with the other signs?

As far as I know, all the dates for the signs are changed. I'm a Scorpio Sun, but according to the new "system" altered after Ophiuchus was included, I'm a Libra (?!)

Aren't the mental traits associated with the natural sign supposed to be maintained? How is this change even rational, considering that people identify with the behavioral pattern of a certain sign and then they are associated with a totally different one?

I'm not sure how to interpret this.

Scorpio, What TERRIFIES you?

Hello ,
I was wondering about scorpio fear ,
more specifically if the individual has (at least) sun, moon and venus in scorpio and conjuctions to pluto..

In a relationship, what scares you?
There is the obvious, such as being cheated on, but what REALLY scares you?

If i gave an example i would say :
You thought you found a person you'd stay with for a long time, you feel in love with them; problems started arising and it got so bad you ended it with them but still asked for them back for a year after, backing out every time because "it would be too hard". What would bring about such a reaction to a relationship? What possibly scares someone that bad?

Thanks very much
xx ...~*Oceaneyes*~

Astrology of Neurodivergence Tribe

2 days ago, I created the Astrology of Neurodivergence tribe on tribenet
http://tribes.tribe.net/neurodivergence

This tribe is to raise awareness about neurodivergence and promote
neurodiversity in Astrology. Neurodivergence will be looked at from
the neurodivergent perspective which means that it will be looked at
in a way that it's considered a variation of the human condition.
Discussion of astrological indicators for neurodivergence including
charts of neurodivergents will be interpreted including even famous
celebrities. Anything that has to do with neurodivergence will be open
to discussion. It can be people just talking about their own
neurodivergence and how it affects them and others. We will discuss
how neurodivergence affects relationships. We will provide
support, solutions, and resources. We want to help neurodivergents to
understand their weaknesses and strengths of their neurodivergence
through Astrology. Natural remedies for neurodivergent weaknesses will
be discussed. Special education therapies like speech
therapy, occupational therapy, and auditory therapy that correct
neurodivegent weaknesses will also be discussed. We will discuss how
to utilize neurodivergent strengths and how they can be applied to
certain activities and occupations.

Indigo,Crystal will also be discussed. They seem to be New Age terms
for neurodivergence. We will discuss various views about the concept
of Indigo,Crystal and whether it applies to certain generations or if
it applies to certain individuals of all ages.

Neurodivergence include the following:

Dyslexia
Dyspraxia
Various Learning Disorders (or should I say...Learning Differences)
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (or should I say...Attention
Divergent Hyperactivity Difference
Autistic Spectrum (includes Autistics and Aspergers)
Sensory Integration Disorder (or should I say....Sensory Integration
Difference)
Tourette Syndrome

I created at 4:44 pm in Sacramento,California where I am at

I chose it to be formed on the 29th day because
29 is a master number,and it's associated with
ultrasensitivity,thinking in pictures,and
rightbrainedness, idealism, spirituality which can fit with combined
neurodivergence,metaphysical www.decoz.com/BdCard29.htm

I thought it was good day because of the kite of Mercury,Moon-Uranus
in Pisces,Saturn in Virgo in 3rd,Sedna in Taurus.
I thought that this fit good with the astrological communications
about information processing that is unusual and can be seem too far
out,remote in a grounded,practical,compassionate manner. This
configuration fits with feelings about things that will be empathized
with because of having similar experiences.

Eris conjunct the Midheaven is the diversity, advocacy, equal rights
with Mercury squaring, neurodiversity. I didn't mind it being a square
because of Mercury is involved in a kite. Also Mercury square Eris can
be in synchronicity with the neurodivergence itself and it could be a
very stimulating to energize the thinking processes making
communications very productive, as well as discussing
Jupiter in 7th conjunct the Descendant can be good for
optimism, expansion in relationships and others in general.
Mercury-Mars and Pluto in Capricorn 6th fit with health, service
emphasis that involves communications, actions, and transformation in
grounded,practical manner

Mercury-Mars in Capricorn in 6th sextile Moon-Venus in Pisces in 8th
fits with discussing how neurodivergence effects daily
routine, relationships as well as the secondary psychological problems
that often result from neurodivergence. It fits with communicating
about mental health problems.

Neptune in 7th/8th indicates the need to addressing the psychiatric
misdiagnoses of neurodivergents that often lead to being treated with
psychiatric medications which could lead to side effects because of
the hypersensitivity to medications due to the ultrasensitive nature
of the neurodivergent person.

Leo Ascendant with its ruler Sun conjunct the North Lunar Node in
Aquarius in 7th indicates a strong emphasis on expressing and making
connections, friends with others. Aquarius also fits with
humanitarianism and Astrology.

I should probably post somewhere else, but since you're good with psychology, i thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

........Do you think that murder/sex crimes/robbery etc... happen only when the victim unconsciously "permits" it to happen?.....

I had read from more than one source that most victims ended up that way because of the Fear that they gave away...
Secure people, confident in their safety and/or self-defense skills, they don't look fragile/troubled, so they don't attract criminals.

........

Of course, maybe that rule doesn't apply to natural psychopaths (brain deficiency from birth, the part of the brain that regulates guilt feelings)...
But then again wouldn't ....like... something like god or your higher mind protect you from those people...?

A Scorpionic synergistic Story

I stole these tips and rules of the game from the Synergistic Story Tribe

Welcome to the first place on tribe.net for you to be creative with words by writing stories with other tribe members online, a few words at time.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Start a new story or add to an existing one. In the subject line, describe how many words the participant is allowed to write per entry. Then start the story off with the first words in the body of the message.

Stories may continue forever, or the story's "owner" (whoever started it) may call it finished at any point.

RULES
(just a few to keep things running smoothly!):

- Don't post two entries in a row. Wait for someone else to add to your entry instead.

- Entries must be grammatically correct.

- compound words separated by a hyphen or slash *do not* count as one word. Eg: "owner/operator" is two words, "master-and-servant" is three words.

Hyphens used for prefixes are OK. Eg: "pre-planning" is one word. There may be exceptions, so let's not be too rigid about this!

TIPS:

- Stories work best and are the most creative when you are limited to a small number of words per entry.

- There's more opportunity for creativity if you do *not* end your line with punctuation (let the person after you decide if they want to use punctuation or not).

- Re-read the whole story before adding your entry. You may find cool ways to tie in a previously mentioned person or thing, which gives the story a much better flow.

- Don't be afraid to use small words like "as", "it", "for", "to", etc. Sometimes it feels like you're wasting your word limit by using small words, but they are very important for the stories to flow nicely! The stories may be surreal and illogical, but the better the wordsmithing, the more fun it is to read.

a question for all scorpios...

There is a general consensus among the scorps in my life that 2008 was a weird year for the scorpio kind. I know mine has. My life has changed so much from just one year ago. I can usually handle change and uncertainty with some degree of grace, as long as it's one thing at a time. The scorps all feel that in 2008, a lot of fundamental things came to a head at once; emotional stuff, relationship stuff, sex stuff (you know that's a big deal), money stuff, and that haunting scorpio intuition that tells you when things aren't right. Just wondering if other scorpios feel this way. Has 2008 been a a challenging year for you?

Footnote:
I feel these challenges are changing things for the better. That's not just a hollow, "oh well, shit happens," kind of response. Regardless of how much life can suck sometimes, I am excited about the way things are turning out. The sex has gotten way hotter. :)

Scorpy as Virgo guru

Virgo is supposed to be able to use Scorpy as some sort of teacher, but the real question is this: what can Virgo really learn that she does not already know? Yes, yes, it has something to do with the dark side of human nature which most Virgos really does not enjoy discussing; when topics like deep wells inside the soul leading to the lava-filled pits of hell are mentioned, most Virgos suddenly remembers some very urgent errand & leaves! What is the key to Virgo development then? Watching more horror-movies? Cherishing the memory of old grudges?

New tribe created for Cancer, Scorpio & PIsces sun sign blessed people to relate, share, debate...

Hi everyone.

So Ive created a new tribe for anyone with their astrological sun sign in any of the 3 water signs - Cancer, Scorpio & Pisces.

http://tribes.tribe.net/cancerscorpiopisces

Please do feel free to post, while yes remembering that we are all human and need not be continually ridiculed or insulted to for someone to feel "good" about themselves by attacking another. This is basic respect.
At the same time, I will not be censoring people and deleting their posts unless specific posts include spam, flaming, unconsented disclosure of the personal & private information of another person which that person has not already made publicly available on their tribe profile.
If people degenerate a tribe thread into a mess of unprovoked, on-going, childish name-calling, passive aggressive attacking of another persons character or repeatedly completely off topic postings in a thread dedicated to a totally different topic, then I will not delete such postings but will move them to a dedicated "off-topic" topic thread where they are still readily accessible.

If you would like to join, please go here, sign up and introduce yourself and which of the three water signs you were born during.

Ophiuchus (Ὀφιοῦχος IPA: /ˌɒfiːˈjuːkəs/) is a large constellation located around the celestial equator. Its name is Greek for 'snake-holder', and it is commonly represented as a man grasping the snake that is represented by the constellation Serpens. Ophiuchus was one of the 48 constellations listed by the 1st century astronomer Ptolemy, and it remains one of the 88 modern constellations. It was formerly referred to as Serpentarius (/ˌsɚpənˈtɛəriəs/), a Latin word meaning the same is its current name.

Ophiuchus is a zodiacal constellation (meaning that the Sun passes through it during the course of the year), but unlike the other twelve, it is not counted as an astrological sign by astrologers. As of 2008, the sun passes through Ophiuchus between November 30th and December 17th.[1]

Location

It is located between Aquila, Serpens and Hercules, northwest of the center of the Milky Way. The southern part lies between Scorpius to the west and Sagittarius to the east. It is best visible in the northern summer and located opposite Orion in the sky. Ophiuchus is depicted as a man grasping a serpent; the interposition of his body divides the snake constellation Serpens into two parts, Serpens Caput and Serpens Cauda, which are nonetheless counted as one constellation.
Johannes Kepler's drawing depicting the location of the stella nova in the foot of Ophiuchus.

Notable features

Stars

The brightest stars in Ophiuchus include α Ophiuchi, called Rasalhague (at the figure's head), and η Ophiuchi.

RS Ophiuchi is part of a class called recurrent novae, whose brightness increase at irregular intervals by hundreds of times in a period of just a few days. It is thought to be at the brink of becoming a type-1a supernova.[2]

Barnard's Star, one of the nearest stars to the Solar System (the only stars closer are the Alpha Centauri binary star system and Proxima Centauri), lies in Ophiuchus. (It is located to the left of β and just north of the V-shaped group of stars in an area that was once occupied by the now-obsolete constellation of Taurus Poniatovii, Poniatowski's Bull.)

In 2005, astronomers using data from the Green Bank Telescope discovered a superbubble so large that it extends beyond the plane of the galaxy.[3] It is called the Ophiuchus Superbubble.

In April 2007, astronomers announced that the Swedish-built Odin satellite had made the first detection of clouds of molecular oxygen in space, following observations in the constellation Ophiuchus.[4]

The supernova of 1604 was first observed on October 9, 1604, near θ Ophiuchi. Johannes Kepler saw it first on October 16 and studied it so extensively that the supernova was subsequently called Kepler's Supernova. He published his findings in a book titled De stella nova in pede Serpentarii (On the New Star in Ophiuchus's Foot). Galileo used its brief appearance to counter the Aristotelian dogma that the heavens are changeless.

In approximately 40,000 years Voyager 1 probe will pass within 1.6 light years of the star AC+79 3888, which is located in Ophiuchus.[5]

Deep-sky objects

Ophiuchus contains several star clusters, such as IC 4665, NGC 6633, M9, M10, M12, M14, M19, M62, and M107, as well as the nebula IC 4603-4604. The unusual galaxy merger remnant NGC 6240 is also in Ophiuchus.

There exist a number of theories as to whom the figure represents.

The most recent interpretation is that the figure represents the healer Asclepius, who learned the secrets of keeping death at bay after observing one serpent bringing another healing herbs. To prevent the entire human race from becoming immortal under Asclepius' care, Zeus killed him with a bolt of lightning, but later placed his image in the heavens to honor his good works. It has also been noted that the constellation Ophiuchus is in close proximity in the sky to that of Sagittarius, which has at times been believed to represent Chiron (the mentor of Asclepius and many other Greek demigods), though Chiron was originally associated with the constellation Centaurus.

Another possibility is that the figure represents the Trojan priest Laocoön, who was killed by a pair of sea serpents sent by the gods after he warned the Trojans not to accept the Trojan Horse. This event was also memorialized by the sculptors Agesander, Athenodoros, and Polydorus in the famous marble sculpture Laocoön and his Sons, which stands in the Vatican Museums.

A third possibility is Apollo wrestling with the Python to take control of the oracle at Delphi.

A fourth is the story of Phorbas, a Thessalonikan who rescued the people of the island of Rhodes from a plague of serpents and was granted a place in the sky in honor of this deed.

Astrology

Although Ophiuchus intersects the ecliptic, it is not a zodiacal sign in most versions of astrology. The signs are defined as more-or-less 30-degree segments of the ecliptic, of which there are twelve, and they are named after nearby constellations at the time the system was developed, rather than being defined by the modern constellations. However, a few sidereal astrologers consider the sun to be in the sign Ophiuchus when it is in the constellation Ophiuchus, which as of 2008[update] is November 30 to December 17.

WHAT A BLUNDERBUSS IS

Blunderbuss
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The blunderbuss is a muzzle-loading firearm with a short, large caliber barrel, which is flared at the muzzle, and used with shot. The blunderbuss is an early form of shotgun adapted to military and defensive use.[1] The term dragon was used to describe a blunderbuss in handgun form, and it is from this that the term dragoon evolved.[2][3]

Etymology

The term blunderbuss is of Dutch origin. It derives from the Dutch word donderbus, which is a combination of donder (Middle Dutch doner, thunder), meaning "thunder", and bus, meaning "gun" (Middle Dutch: busse, box, tube, from Late Latin, buxis, box).[1] The transition from donder to blunder is thought by some to be deliberate; the term blunder was originally used in a transitive sense, synonymous with to confuse, and this is thought to describe the stunningly loud report of the large bore, short barreled blunderbuss.[2] The term dragon is taken from the fact that early versions were decorated with a carving in the form of a mythical dragon's head around the muzzle; the muzzle blast would then give the impression of a fire breathing dragon.[3]

Construction
An English flintlock blunderbuss

The blunderbuss was an early form of shotgun, and served in similar roles. While fictional accounts often list the blunderbuss as being loaded with various scrap iron or rocks, this would result in damage to the bore of the gun; it was typically loaded with a number of lead balls smaller than the bore diameter. Barrels could be made of steel or brass, and the flare was not intended to increase the spread of the shot, but rather to ease in loading the gun. The flared muzzle is the defining feature of the blunderbuss, differentiating it from large caliber carbines; the distinction between the blunderbuss and the musketoon is less distinct, as musketoons were also used with shot, and some had flared barrels.[4][5][6] Blunderbuss were typically very short, with barrels under two feet (60 cm) in length, at a time when a typical musket barrel was over three feet (90 cm) long.[7][8] One source, describing arms from the early to middle 17th century, lists the barrel length of a wheel lock dragon is around eleven inches (28 cm), compared to a sixteen inch (41 cm) length for a blunderbuss.[2]

[edit] Use
A blunderbuss pistol, or dragon, found at a battlefield in Cerro Gordo, Mexico
A pair of early blunderbuss pistols from Poland fitted with the miquelet lock

The blunderbuss, and especially the shorter dragon, was typically issued to troops such as cavalry, who needed a lightweight, easily handled firearm.[8] The dragon became so associated with cavalry and mounted infantry that the term dragoon (French dragon, carbine, "fire-breather", from Old French, dragon, dragon, from Latin dracō, dragon, serpent, from Greek δράκων (drákōn), "serpent of huge size, python, dragon") became synonymous with mounted infantry. In addition to the cavalry, the blunderbuss found use for other duties in which the shotgun-like qualities were desirable, such as for guarding prisoners or defending a mail coach, and its use for urban combat was also recognized.[9][3]

The blunderbuss used by the British mail service during the period of 1788–1816 was a flintlock with a 14 inch long flared brass barrel, brass trigger guard, and iron trigger and lock. A typical British mail coach would have a single postal employee on board to guard the mail from highwaymen, armed with a blunderbuss and a pair of pistols.[10] One 18th century coaching blunderbuss in another British collection had a brass barrel 17 inches long, flaring to 2 inches at the muzzle; it was also provided with a spring-loaded bayonet which was held along the barrel by a catch, and would spring forward into place when released.[6]

While the blunderbuss is often associated with the Pilgrims,[11] evidence suggests that the blunderbuss was relatively scarce in the American colonies. After the Battle of Lexington, British General Thomas Gage occupied Boston, Massachusetts. After negotiating with the town committee, Gage agreed to let the inhabitants of Boston leave town with their families and effects, if they surrendered all arms. While most of the residents of Boston stayed, those who left under the agreement surrendered 1778 firearms, 634 pistols, 273 bayonets, and only 38 blunderbusses.[12] The blunderbuss did still have its civilian applications, however; the Lewis and Clark Expedition carried a number of blunderbusses, some of which were mounted and used as small swivel guns on the pirogues.[5]
An 1808 Harper's Ferry blunderbuss, carried on the Lewis and Clark Expedition

By the middle 19th century, the blunderbuss was considered obsolete. The blunderbuss was replaced in military use by the carbine, though the latter was considered by some to be a poor replacement (the carbine in use by the British during the Crimean War was lampooned in Punch as being able, in the hands of a good shot, to "hit a haybrick at 80 yards"), though it still found use with civilians as a defensive firearm.[13][14]

Hey Scorps. I'm in a bit of a "pickle"... and I need your help.

Okay - I have went on a few dates with a scorpio male - we have everything in common. We can talk for hours. But there is no chemistry... and to top it off, he wants so much more than I do! Very serious....

How do you let a scorpio male down without them being hurt badly by you? I know there is a certain suspicion and sensitivity (I am scorpio moon) ... we shared a lot during those phone convos. But I just can't see myself being with him. I feel like he has grown attached to me. But we've only been talking for about 3 weeks.

Help? What do I do? I hate hurting people (Pisces rising)

Go sit outside, look into the moon, if its day time where you are just stare at the light bulb. Then ask yourself, are you a lonely soul?

Here are descriptions about 4 fixed signs. How do you guys relate to the description? Aren't earth signs fixed?
Does fixed means stable ? Of fixed means obstinate? Fixed emotion? Can an obstinate person change often?

* Taurus (): Being an Earth sign , Taurus is said to be the most stable, patient and determined of all the Fixed Quality Signs. Taurus is also, notorious for being the most stubborn sign of the Zodiac. This is due to a combination of the Earth element and the Fixed Quality governing the sign Taurus. All of these traits make Taurus perhaps the epitome of the Fixed Quality Signs.

* Leo (): As a Fixed Fire sign, Leo individuals are said to burn with a greater intensity than the other two Fire Signs. They are supposedly much less impulsive than Aries natives and not as prone to "wanderlust" as Sagittarius subjects.

* Scorpio (): A Water sign, of the Fixed Quality, Scorpio is thought to deeply internalize emotions and pursue goals with keen insights, perception and much willpower.

* Aquarius (): An Air sign, while generally considered to be a spontaneous and erratic Sign, many astrologers also agree there is a distinct lack of flexibility in Aquarius character due to their Fixed Quality.

Scorpio - Article

Scorpio: Transformation October 21-November 20

Scorpio often has an undeserved negative reputation. Its best known symbol is the Scorpion, a creature known for its sting. Scorpios can also have a sting, but it takes a lot of goading for them to unleash it. Once they've been pushed beyond their endurance, they are the most likely of the water signs to fight back.

Whereas Cancerians need above all to be loved, Scorpios need most to be understand, and this challenges them because what they feel is so deep and often profound that they have difficulty communicating it. Often they'd rather not speak at all than be misunderstood.

Those Scorpios who've mastered the ability to communicate what they feel can be of great service to others. Of all the water signs, Scorpio most wants to explore emotional depths. Their love of this makes them excellent psychotherapists, as does their desire to assist others in transformation.

Transformation is an important keyword for Scorpio. Another of their symbols is the Phoenix, the mythical creature which rises reborn from its ashes. Scorpios are capable of understanding that life is a constant process of letting go of the old and of transforming. Because they are eager to experience this process, they may tend to live dramatically.

This sign's greatest need is to deepen communication skills, to learn to describe and share what it experiences, so that they can feel understood and appreciated and the rest of us can benefit from their profound wisdom.
The Essential Scorpio

A Scorpio's deepest need is to be understood, but many of them have detoured off that path, deciding if they can't be understood, they'd better be in charge. While a Cancerian worries about those (s)he loves, a Scorpio is more likely to exercise control in a needy way. Lacking the the ability to communicate his/her true needs, the Scorpio may instead demand attention and/or obedience.

Chicory (Bach) is a helpful remedy for this sign. It helps to defuse and dissolve the neediness associated with the unbalanced Chicory personality, allowing those who need it to begin to understand their true needs.

Once they are aware of these needs, they need to express them, to themselves and possibly to others. The article on communication at http://www.rainbowcrystal.com/crystal/communication1.html describes a number of helpful crystals and some essences.

To avoid the Scorpionic sting, Calendula (FES) is a helpful remedy that assists in gentleness of speech.
Crystals for Scorpio

In addition to the crystals described in the article above, Scorpios can especially benefit from black obsidian. The sign and the crystal share an affinity for the planet Pluto, considered by many to be the planet of transformation, of powerful change emerging from deep within. As obsidian is dedicated to truth, so Scorpio is dedicated to honesty of feeling.

Communication can be a major issue for a Scorpio. Blue lace agate can soften the Scorpion's sting when it communicates with others.

Though Scorpio is a water sign, it's fixed water, which can also be translated as ice. Thus this sign can be emotionally rigid. Carnelian, relating to flow, can help melt a Scorpio's emotions.

Rhodonite helps to transform this sign's fixed and sometimes judgmental nature into patience.

I have recently learned about Lexigrams, from Linda Goodman's Star Signs... I haven't finished the chapter yet but it's so intriguing, I can't help trying it out right away... But I'm still confused about the "making sentences" part...

They say that one way of learning is to involve other people, and make it fun.

So, let's play Lexigrams!

ok, a while back I had a miscarraige scare. long story short, I ended up not being pregnant but thats not he point.
the father of my 'supposed baby' was really supportive through the doctor apointments and everything but when it came to being rushed to the medical center, he lacked a certain sense of ergency.
he was with a friend at the time and said ' i'll take you tomorrow'... as we were still waiting for a blood test to confirm after the urine test said it was positive.
anyway i told him i was going by myself and that the medical center wanted me there right away to check up on me as my condition was quit serious.

I never heard from him from that moment! only recently I had a missed call but nothing!
he doenst know that i found out i wasnt pregnant.....but I dont want to tlak to him after he ditched me like that.

anyway, what is going on.?
I cant understand in my head why somebody would put themselves before an unborn child ...I mean i found out i wasnt really rpegnant but at the time it was still important because of what was happening to my body......

Its hard to explain and its a little confusing but why would he do that?
and why NOW try to cotnact me after its all over?

part of me thinks its a little revenge not telling him but I really really really dont want to talk to him. Its not just hurt its anger that he would do that....
can someone help me out here? or perhaps knock some sense into my head?
lol.

Is it possible? Is he being honest with me, or is he just the best manipulator ever? Am I just the too suspicious Scorpio? It's like an ego thing--I don't want to think I can't find that little crack in his spiel so I can dismiss him like all the other men who are too stupid to lie well.

I've read what you all say about Gemini/Scorpio, so I know it's a tough match--but don't we love a challenge? Even so, is that a good reason to give it a go?

Wow. I have fallen for a double scorpio. Hard. This one's communication, and sensitive, and analytical (which I love, being a virgo). Only, he's a little too sensitive. He thinks he's reading me sometimes, but it's not correct. For instance, He has 2 kids, and I have 4. His kids are spending their first week with us, and we're all together. When he and I went to pick up his kids, they were being "kids", and totally back-talking, being snooty, you know, things kids do. I just talked to them like I would one of mine, and said, "I'm asking you to do something, do it". Last night, he told me that when I said that, I obviously thought that he isn't doing good job of parenting... Um, nope. Not at all. I just have so many kids that order is imperative. Plus, I was raised to respect adults... And, from what he's said in the past, he's raising his kids to as well. He thinks I'm judging him, and I'm not! Life is too short for that, and I've adapted and changed my parenting style many times, I had to, for survival! lol

So, for 3 days, he was quiet and morose, and wouldn't touch me. Then, last night he wouldn't let me go to sleep! I was so tired, after taking the day off with 7!!! kids, and I was about to drift off, and he started jumping on the bed, and playing withe me, and saying, "I want to talk, you can't sleep yet." We ended up talking till 1:30am. He told me he thinks I want to change him. That's what I meant by him thinking he can read me, but not.

Honestly, I think it's awesome that he finally came out and discussed it with me, and he felt so much better afterwards, we FINALLY had SEX! Woohoo!

Anyway, what should I do in the future to prevent the whole clam-up thing for 3 days? Or, is this just the process of getting to know each other? ugh. I hate dating! :-)

I just backed off, and let him have some space to think, and he came to me with what he had thought and was ready to discuss it. Did I do the right thing?

Though I'm not a Scorpio myself (only Scorpio in Pluto) I have to give my piece on all of you. There has always been something about you that entice me (as far as men go; Mentioning I'm a Taurus) and my first love was a Scorpio (sigh) the way you guys have such a more profound and meaningful view on life or every/any subject of that matter is inspiring to me. I've always loved Scorpio's, from the intensity to the passion and everything in between.
Haha, maybe the whole 'stinging' thing is a bit black shadowed, but you wouldn't do anything to a someone that wouldn't be done to you if you were in those circumstances. Anyways, you Scorpio individuals are really something magnetic, and to be able to just possess so much magnitude. God, I can only imagine.

A question for Scorpios:

Do you have trouble getting to sleep? My Scorpio husband CANNOT sleep before 3:30 or 4 AM without help. And by help I mainly mean copious amounts of alcohol. Or ridiculously strenuous exercise (and, for example, 4 hours or so of chopping wood would not be strenuous enough). This is difficult for me to understand, since I could pretty much fall asleep in a standing position, at noon, with a drummer practicing in the same room. If any of you experience this sleeplessness, what do you do to handle it?

heavy 8th house in chart = more scorpionic personality???

I was wondering if having a 8th house stellium would make someone more scorpionic or able to understand scorpios since the 8th house rules that sign.

I was interested because i have mercury, venus, mars, jupiter sun on the 7/8th cusp, and vertex in the 8th. My planets don't generally fall in the sign of scorpio but almost everything said about them seems to hold true for me.

Also does having that stellium make you more compatible synastry wise with someone with a heavy scorpio chart even if your planet signs don't seems to merge very well?

Any insight ?

Thanks
LOve always

backing off after confession?

Is this a typical Scorp thing?

Been on and off with my Scorp over 2 years or so now. We have never been together as in dating etc. Were close friends when we were 16, hardly got to see each other ever but talked every day. I quit talking to him probably about 12 years ago or so because I was pissed at him. We didn't talk for 10 years, I found him online about 2 years ago, started talking again like there wasn't a day in between. We live 1000 miles apart, have been wanting to see each other for last 2 years but haven't for various reasons, money, job, his heroin addiction (which hes clean now), etc. Will be meeting up finally in March over spring break. He is Scorp sun, Leo moon, Virgo rising. I am Pisces sun, Scorp moon, Taurus rising. He says we are soulmates, meant to be together, that I am "the one", and claims he's going to marry me. I agree with most of that, seems that way.

Anyways, every time he says anything particularly revealing or emotionally deep about the way he feels for me, it's like he disappears for 3, 4, maybe 6 days after that. Then starts talking to me again or responding. I may send him 1 or 2 text messages after the initial confession etc, then I just don't contact him until he starts talking to me again. Doesn't really bother me all that much, just makes me wonder why and what the hell he's thinking. He doesn't seem like he be the type to get embarrassed by that. Any of this sound familiar?

I may not be a scorpio. But i sure know how to do one thing. I can rise from the ashes. Sometimes I have to bring myself to the lowest point, (maybe what makes it sorta cancerian is that I think of it more as drowning myself than burning to ashes). Then when I hit the bottom. That is when I pull the most strength and determination and come back 10 times stronger.

I've done this so far twice in my life. It usually takes a year of my life to get back on track.

Since you all are scorps I was wondering if you have phoenix stories?

Most compatible sign as Scorpio

OK people, I saw a topic like this on the Libra tribe, and I thought it would be about time that I saw one on the Scorpio tribe. We all know the technicalities of things like full natal charts, genetic makeup, enviornmental influences, etc, that contribute to a person's overall psychological makeup, and that astrological Sun signs don't tell the whole story, etc, etc. But we'll trudge on, anyway. So, here we go. As a Scorpio type, who do you feel the most compatible with? Who do you feel the least compatible with? For me here's a quick rundown:

-Signs of people I find to have frequently smooth compatibility with:
Cancers, Virgos and Scorpios
(I find many people of these three signs end up in my life, usually as friends, and/or best friends. We often attract one-another as friends, and/or lovemates. There are a small few people from each of these signs, where I had to deal with hardship, but the ratio is higher in the positive than the negative.)

-Signs of people I find to have frequently decent compatibility with (as some are smooth, others I can't stand): Aries, Sagittarius, Aquarius
(I've had quite a few friends of each of these three signs as well. Although this one is pretty divided - for the few that I shared a strong connection with, there were just as many that I couldn't stand one bit, most particularly with Aries, and least particularly with Aquarius. The ratio here is about even.)

-Signs of people I find to have the most frequent challenges with: Gemini.
(I'm not even sure I'm *fully* aware of the reason why, but it hardly *ever* works out between me and Gemini's - not as friends, and *much* less as lovemates. Most Gemini's I've met caused me more pain, heartache, and aggravation than any other sign I can think of. Part of it is because I'm more intense and consistent with my thoughts and feelings; most Gemini's I've dealt with have short attention spans, have low boredom thresholds, and have to be *constantly* stimulated, which causes them to be aggravatingly flighty. And their moods (if that's what they are) change too much for my liking. But, the worst thing of all, is that they are extremely untrustworthy, and trust is a *major* issue with me. There were only one or two Gemini's that I've met, thus far, who seem to counter all of these traits listed above.

The other signs I mentioned I'm not so sure how I feel about them: they don't particularly fall into any of the patterns listed above. Thus far:
-Taurus: never had much (if any) particularly memorable things with them.
-Leos: again, there was never anything too noteworthy with anyone here (some are pretty cool, some are pretty obnoxious). I had a major crush on a Leo girl once (and she was into me as well) - breathtakingly gorgeous, but she was *far* too flighty, and inconsistent for my tastes (probably her Gemini moon influence.)
-Libras: again, most I've met, never did a whole lot for me (Ha, and this is *my* Sun sign.) The first girl who ever had a crush on me was a Libra. But, she, like most of the Gemini's Iisted above, was too inconsistent and flighty for my tastes. At my job, we got a new supervisor, he's a Libra, and it turns out, that *all* of his personal planets are in Libra, except Mars (which is in Gemini.) He wastes so much of his hot air talking, boasting and trying to look good, it's annoying. But, I actually have a strong friendship with one Libra (but he's a Scorpio moon and mercury.) We can talk about anything - light or deep - and we understand each other so well.
-Capricorn: In a strange way, I feel like we are, in some ways, *too* much alike, and in the one sense, there could be something of a stand-still. Potential friends I have found to have this Sun sign.
-Pisces: Some are the best people you'd hope to be with; almost like a dream come true. Others can be so inconsistent, lost, (and others, annoyingly whiny and illogical, that it kills any momentum.)

Keep in mind, with everything I listed, I'm not saying that *everyone* of a particular sign or influence falls into the patterns I listed above. This is in regards to people I've actually met, had relationships or friendships with, or talked to in person. There's always going to be exceptions. Anyway, I'd be glad to hear other people experiences with the signs of the zodiac. LOL!

Hi,
My good friend is a Scorpio who was just diagnosed with bronchitis, and I was trying to find some info for him on the bronchitis/Scorpio correlation, and what emotional or spiritual issues he would need to address to try and prevent it from recurring. I'm guessing "holding things in" might be an emotional cause of Bronchitis?

Thanks for the tips everyone! Blessings!
