I like to think "hidden self" means "dark side."

People tend to hide the things they dislike about themselves, the things they refuse to accept is true.

But then, everyone has a dark side, not just Plutonians.

Well, you may want to check out a topic that Evin posted sometime back regarding Scorpio and their shadows. I think that should shed some light on Scorpio's "inner being."

Singularity makes a good point; revealing the inner self opens one up to judgement. I definately hate that. I'd add that it also takes away some of Scorp's sense of control to reveal everything; it give the other the power.

Lovers come and go... why would I risk it?

I am not even sure about the extent or the amount of power, darkness, I have at my disposal.... I severely doubt that any non-scorpio person can ever really understand the depths we have and have to live through on a daily basis anyways.

I have inner demons... and they scare even me. So fuck it. I'm not letting them loose because my lover wants "inside me". I believe that everyone is entitled to an untouched part of their inner self. That no one is allowed to venture into. Not even the most trusted person. If that makes me heartless, then so be it.

Which makes me wonder... do we walk the "path" alone? God knows I prefer it.
