Recently, in diving into the concept of isolation and alone - ness, i have been coming to a new appreciation of the levels of 'being good to oneself' one can go too. So i just wanted to ask - for the moment- what are you doing to actually please only yourself, and to reward or please or spoil yourself ? everyone chatter, but this is a scorpio specific question...

seeings how i am un personalizing things, i actually made a salad that got me off, so to speak. for me. mmmm

ta tsai
baby spinach
fine shredded red bell pepper
fine shredded mushrooms (fresh shitake best)

and a dressing based around honey, mustard, ginger, soy and wasabi

A wall connection to a direct voltage could result in a serious shock when things get really wet,, we wouldn't want that would we!! ??

reverse surge doesn't let it get more radical than a jazzed up double 9 volt. even if you swang from it in the bay.

Greedy crab likes collecting trophies of all kinds and dusting old mnemenic collections in hazy dusky basement.
Apart from that, the kitchen freak could spend hours in kitchen inventing new pies.

BERRY PIE - Speciality from Karen Herrmann
                                  Berry Filling
                                  1 cup juice or water
                                  3/4 cup sugar
                                  4 TBS cornstarch
4 cups frozen or fresh berries
Bring 3 ingredients to boil, stirring constantly!
                                  Turn off heat
Add berries -blend gently and let cool, while making crust.
                                  Pie Crust (double)
                                  21/4 cup flour
                                  1 tsp salt
                                  2/3 cup Canola oil
                                  1/4 cup cold water
Mix all ingredients briefly with pastry blender just until a ball forms.
Split dough in two, and roll out on parchment paper. Use a flexible cutting board for
ease of transferring the rather soft and oily dough to a pie form.
Crimp the dough edge with the 3-finger wavy method.
Make small vent holes in upper crust.
Bake at 370F for 50 minutes.
Let cool quickly by open window.

please keep the pie recipes coming. cakes were my thing, i need to learn good pie's now.

is mincemeat pie really made out of meat?

Laux- chicken pie? Oy, if i had longer tentacles to swim there, i would so be at your house for dinner this weekend. My gran made one that lives in my mind as a memory of what god tastes like in chiken pie form. much tastier than big butter jesus.

I say I love me with regular connections to moving water and fire.... it can be with trips to the beach, a picnic by a river, or it can be showers by candle light.

I took up poi (fire spinning) some years back and really enjoyed hearing the roar of the flames whirling around me...
it was a nice release of energy and connection.

There is also a French bakery close to my old house that I used to frequent that served fresh whole strawberries with cream over them...served in a wine glass....so decadent..I miss those!!!

and I cannot forget strawberries dipped in hot dark chocolate.....

hmm....I need to find my fondue set.....
